To ensure the safety and quiet enjoyment of our tenants and their neighbors, and, in some cases due to federal regulations, TRIP has very strict criteria under which a prospective tenant may be denied an apartment.
To ensure that all tenant applicants understand the criteria which must be met, we encourage you to become familiar with our Tenant Selection Criteria and Process, below.
CRITERIA. Applications can be denied under the following circumstances:
An applicant can be denied at any step in the process when one of the above-mentioned screening criteria is not met. The reason must be noted and letter sent notifying applicant specific details as to which step in the process the application was denied and what actions (if any) he/she can take to move the application back into the screening process.
ALL applications that meet the above-mentioned criteria must be reviewed by all members of TRIP’s Tenant Selection Committee and match the TRIP Application Approval Requirements as per the Tenant Selection Plan. Each member of the committee reviews the application and puts his/her decision on the coversheet (A) approved (D) denied. Applications that are not unanimously approved or denied are presented at a Tenant Selection Committee meeting for discussion.
